Main focus: show jumping horses

Our area of responsibility concerning the sport horses is concentrated on the show jumping horses. The horses are trained in a way that enables them to participate in examinations up to the most difficult classes. Those horses that will participate in international competitions, will be presented by Otto Becker.

Besides Otto Becker there are four more persons occupied with breaking in the horses. They regularly participate in national competitions with many horses of Dobel’s stud, and they achieve very often excellent results in show jumping.

„We have 3- and 4-year-old horses that are being trained by us“,

says Olaf Peters, one of the for persons dedicated to breaking in the horses. Peters, who is taking care of around 15 horses, is very experienced in breaking in and recognizes immediately whether a horse is suitable for show jumping.

„Of course, the horses need the right care and the appropriate training. Quite soon you can find out whether a horse is really talented. However, a horse that is well trained and does not achieve this level at the end of its 5th year, is definitely not suitable as a sport horse“,
